The first thing you should do in 2020 is…

Join a community – don’t just take my word for it (after all I’m a community leader so clearly a fan) but here are a couple of quotes from members of the Cambridge Power Platform Community…

At Atalian Servest we have gone from no experience of the Power Platform to having PowerApps in production both internally and externally in about 6 months. When we created our internal champions programme I stumbled across the invite for the inaugural Cambridge PowerApps User Group. We rapidly signed up and now bring members of our team to every event. The community is fantastic and the speakers and experience that we have been exposed too has been amazing. The group has also allowed me to grow the confidence in my nascent team that what we are developing is also worthy of praise. The group is invaluable to me as CDO

Community events like SharePoint Saturday and the Flow and PowerApps User Groups offer incredible access to other people doing the same things you are, facing the same challenges as you and solving them.

For me personally I pick up valuable information on what my peers are doing in my field, and therefore what I need to also be doing. It’s really incredible that top people in the field give their time freely, and show us the solutions they have built, encouraging us to follow in their footsteps.

I have picked up so much from the Cambridge PowerApps and Flow User Group already in only a few sessions, things I would never have thought about, from people discovering the best way to work and paving the way for you. Community leaders like Sharon Sumner give their time, passion and support freely to help you develop your skills.

By immersing myself in these sessions it has enabled me to make big strides in my career, after all its free tips and training on an in-demand skill, if you are serious about your personal development, you should be taking advantage too.

Matt Harding – Insight

This group helps Cambridge to keep up to speed with all things new in the Power Apps and Power Automate space, so why not make a new years resolution and click here to join our community today!

The next session takes places on 13th Feb, 2020 with the participation of these renowned speakers.

The first speaker is Shane Young who will show us his latest magic with Power Apps (remotely). The second speaker is Laura Graham Brown who will share with you the Love-Hate Relationship With Data and Power Automate.

Save the date in your diary and bring your friends along or even your other half. There will also be Pizza and Beer to warm up the cold winter evening 🙂

If you are a developer, process participant or business leader there should be plenty for you in these sessions. We are looking for both topic suggestions for speakers, challenges (how can I) for the development teams locally and any businesses that want to showcase their solutions to the group.

Thanks for listening – don’t forget to leave comments below or get in touch with me directly if you’d like to chat about the content posted here or anything to do with the Power Platform – I’m a Business Applications speaker and evangelist with a clear focus on delivering real business value from technology. I speak at least once a month so please find me at an event and #LetsGetCoffee
